I am delighted to announce the appointment of Helen Galloway as the CEO of Women in Gaming Australasia (WGA).

Helen has extensive experience in the Asian Gaming market having held senior roles in Macau and Singapore. Helen spent five years with Las Vegas Sands Corporation, first as Vice President – Strategic Analysis at Sands China Limited then as Vice President – Casino Development and Strategic Analysis at Marina Bay Sands. Prior to this she was Director of Financial Planning and Analysis at Wynn Macau.

Helen is currently a non executive director with Tasracing and also with TT-Line. She is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a qualified member of CPA Australia. Helen holds a Bachelor of Commerce, a Bachelor of Information Systems, and has completed the gaming focused Executive Development Program with the University of Las Vegas and University of Reno.

In her role as CEO, Helen will be responsible for the strategic direction of WGA to attract, develop and retain women within the gaming industry, as well grow and promote membership of WGA. Reflecting on her appointment, Helen said “I’m thrilled to be selected to lead WGA, I’m looking forward to championing gender diversity in the gaming industry. The research is in, and having a diverse and inclusive workplace leads to better business outcomes. It is proven that equality benefits us all.”

I am excited that Helen will lead WGA, and believe her wealth of experience will be an invaluable asset as we continue to empower women within our industry.
